Mr Skip

This book is about a girl whose mum is very poor and the girl is called Jackie. Her mum is very cautious about people looking at Jackie rumaging through the skip so her mum said "if you go out to the skip please go at night or at dusk."

One day she saw a man drive up to the skip and throw an armchair into the skip, a bin bag and some pottery the pottery she did not see very well.

So one day later she went and rummaged through the skip and found it was a broken old garden gnome she fixed him up and he was as good as new so she could give it to her mum but she did not know this garden gnome would change her life.

One thing Jackie wants is a horse the fastest in Ireland which runs as fast as the wind. Will she get what she wanted?

The front cover of Mr. Skip
This gnome had a very big secret......

To find out you need to read the book!!

The Wimpy Kid Movie Diary

This book is about all the three Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies.  Here is the trailer for the third movie, Dog Days. If you ever wondered how a movie is made you could watch the special features on a blu-ray disc but that does not answer all the the questions you have, so I would recommend this book for that reason too.

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series

If you do not like books with no pictures and lots of complicated words then this is the book for you, I think this book goes well with the bestselling series along with the do it your self book. This book is a constant diary of every painstaking step of the way for all three movies. Inside this book it also explains where the young actors slept and what size of room you would be given: the bigger your room the bigger your job.

The Wimpy Kid Movie Diary

This book is the new movie diary because first of all they created The Wimpy Kid Movie Diary which was just about the first movie then they created The Wimpy Kid Movie Diary the version I have.

National Geographic Kids Infopedia

This book is full of mind blowing facts like it takes 2,900 gallons of water to produce one pair of jeans!!!  If you are a person who does not like endless books like harry potter, you hate just having to pick up a novel and yet you happen to like amazing facts then this is the perfect book for you!!  This book happens to not just have a bundle of facts, it has unsolved stories of stuff like the Stonehenge in the county of Wiltshire they found an other but smaller Stonehenge just one kilometer away.
The best book ever!!!!

The Adventures of Odysseus

What a the stories like: The stories are exiting and involve cunning plans!

What I disliked: I disliked when the suitors were rude to Odysseus when he was acting as an old beggar.

Was Odysseus a hero: Odysseus was a hero because he was very brave,Odysseus was definitely a hero because he was bold when he battled all those weird mythical creatures!
A great book for all ages above 7

You're a bad man, Mr Gum!

Mr Gum

Mr Gum is not just one book, but it is a whole series of eight books and other special editions.

This book is hilarious because Mr Gum manages to attain him self in to trouble. There is a girl called Polly who has a friend which is a dog called Jake. Polly is a very obedient girl but Mr.Gum is an abominable man. Mr.Gum has an ability to cause a fight or a dangerous expedition of courage and at the same time fear takes over the battle.

Andy Stanton has many achievements, but his biggest is the Roald Dahl funny prize. People often say he is the Roald Dahl of this century but he is also in the same percentage of books sold all around the world as Michael Morpurgo.

Jacqueline Wilson's Jacky Daydream

Jacky Daydream

Interestingly, this book is an autobiography of Jacqueline's childhood, she was a young girl in the early 19th century and now she is an old lady.

Her family were extremely poor and she lived with her parents in a flat above a shop. In those days public transport like buses, trains and subways were smelly, crammed and limited for people to use.

Generally most people did not travel very much or long distances because it was very expensive and uncomfortable.

This book is excellent because in different parts of her life she does funny things, like the time she crawls into the garden and starts to pull the plants out.

I enjoy reading Jacqueline Wilson's books because she is a very inventive and creative author and her stories are always very engaging.

Who would enjoy this book ?

This book is for anyone aged between 9 and 10 years and would enjoy comedy fictions, and can read long books

Cool!

This book is set in the present day. In the story Robbie and Lucky are run over by a car just outside their house in Tinverton, where they live in a normal sized house.

Robbie and Lucky the dog have an accident, but it is not a serious one and they are only slightly injured, but Robbie does spend some time in hospital to recover from his injuries

I would recommend this book to anyone who is aged between 8 to 12 years, because the book is a mixture of emotions from being happy to feeling sad.

I enjoy reading Michael Morpurgo's books because he is a very talented author, and I have read lots of his books ranging from simple picture books to longer novels for older readers.
