Skulduggery Pleasant Kingdom of The Wicked

As usual the setting takes place in Dublin. This time Valkyrie Cain travels through time to Dublin in the past or the future I forgot, but all the sorcerers that died are alive there and somehow she needs to avoid being caught by redhoods or sense wardens (read this book if you want to find out if she dies!). Although it is a very thick book it really makes you want to keep on reading the interesting adventure Skulduggery Pleasant and Valkyrie Cain make through.

It is very violent so children 8+ should read it, at least.

I hope Derek Landy writes another Skulduggery Pleasant book because his books are so good!

Sorcerers- Are people that can do magic,

Redhoods- They run after you if the sense wardens alert them,

Sense Wardens- They search your mind and if you are 

thinking about something interesting they will alert the redhoods and they will run after you.

Valkyrie Cain is struggling trying to protect her dark secret. The Sanctuary has exploded by a Desolation Engine and before that has been invaded by blood-thirsty vampires. Finally the sorcerers found another Sanctuary in Roarhaven and now have decided who the elders are. 

I would recommend this book for children 9-13 years old.
I haven't finished the book but it is really good to just sit down and read the Skulduggery Pleasant series.

What the words mean:
The Sanctuary- Is a building where the elders rule.

Desolation Engine-  Is precisely  a bomb of energy and if it hits you it's like a normal bomb your dead, but actually you just turn to dust!

Vampires- Creatures with huge eyes, black fur and a incredible speed. Not like vampires from story or the ones you would imagine they die if the get in contact with salt water.

Sorcerers- Another word for people you can do magic but not magic like pulling a rabbit out of a hat! It's magic where you could make a flame appear in your hand or can fly!

Roarhaven- Is a place when the more you go into it the darker the trees get and it gets gloomy.

Elders- Three sorcerers which rule and decided stuff sort of like the government by us.

Skulduggery Pleasant By Derek Landy

Let me introduce you to Skulduggery Pleasant: detective, magician, warrior. Oh yes, and a skeleton!

This book has lots of murder in it and crime for Skulduggery Pleasant to solve. Of course people get hurt and die, but it always has a good end for Skulduggery Pleasant! But it will not end good for him forever!

 Reading this story is really fun. Some parts are boring but then somebody gets murdered, and then you would want to keep reading because you would want to find out who murdered that person!
 The story made me feel as if I was standing right next to Skulduggery Pleasant and Valkyrie Cain (Skulduggery Pleasant's partner!) I really like the way Derek Landy builds the suspense, which was making me read on and on. I didn't want to put down the book because it was so interesting.

Once I start reading Skulduggery Pleasant everything around me goes blank, sometimes I'm so focused on the story that I don't even notice that I already pasted three chapters!

I recommend this book for children 9-12 and, for those who love crime, mystery and adventure books.
And don't expect that Skulduggery Pleasant is so good and wins every battle against his enemies!!
