This story
mostly takes place in a jungle of Indonesia.
The main characters are Will and Oona the elephant.
Will always
spends Christmas with his grandma and grandpa but this year he was forced to
leave early to Indonesia because that’s where his dad was at war. The whole problem starts because Will is
forced to leave to Indonesia…
Will and his
mum were alone on the train ride because his dad left to war. The bit that nearly made me cry was when Will
explained about the tsunami closing in on where his mum was swimming at the
hotel.
The problem
was when the elephant Will was riding on ran away, when Will was not aware
about the tsunami.
I liked this
book because it was adventurous, surprising and at some points sad.
So far I
find this story upsetting and worrying but a great book all the same. I would recommend this book to anyone who
likes reading adventurous and sad stories.
Another sad bit is where you find out that this all happened for no
reason because Will’s dad died in war.
Will must be
aware while living in the jungle because tigers and panthers all know he’s
there…
